What is Arlo Secure?

Arlo Secure 7 includes two critical upgrades to our AI security cameras that make it even easier to stay safe.

Threat Assessment

Previously, Arlo Secure’s smart detection technology would simply alert you if it noticed suspicious activity. Now, it’s a complete automated detection and response system, keeping you and your family safe even if you’re unable to check your phone.

Threat Assessment kicks in once it detects suspicious activity around your property. First, it sends out a Critical Alert to your smartphone through the Arlo Secure App. If you’re unable to respond to the notification — say, you’re out of the house or asleep in your bed — the Threat Assessment system will trigger your alarms and spotlights to deter unwanted activity.

If your AI security cameras detect that the threat is serious, Arlo will automatically escalate its response and alert the professional monitoring center for manual, human verification. If a Safety Agent confirms that emergency dispatch is needed, they’ll contact the authorities on your behalf, with no action required on your part. Once the incident has been resolved, we’ll send you a summary explaining what we detected and what actions we took to handle it for you.

Arlo Summary

Want to stay on top of what your security cameras are noticing but don’t want to stay glued to your feed all day? Then the Arlo Summary is for you.

Every morning, Arlo will scan the past 24 hours of video recordings, find any notable activity, and using AI, summarize the details for you and pin it to the top of your feed. If something suspicious shows up, you’ll get notified in the Arlo Summary; if not, you’ll get a simple all-clear.
