Dreame today announced a new global market-position milestone in robot vacuum engineering, supported by research conducted by Euromonitor International (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
The recognition is based on a comparison of commercial launch dates for robot vacuums equipped with at least two multi-stage bionic extending robotic arms (one holding the side brush and the other a mop pad), across brands globally. With this upgraded robotic arm, a robot vacuum can extend its mop pad up to 7in (18cm) for common narrow spaces.
The research covered 180 countries and regions and included online and offline retail audits, desk research, company and market analysis, industry and expert interviews, and data validation. It also reviewed the top 25 brands in the robot vacuum category, among other brands operating globally.
Extending Robot Vacuum Cleaning Beyond the Main Body
A bionic extending robotic arm is a cleaning component designed to simulate the joint structure of a human arm. The component can extend beyond the main body of a robot vacuum, giving the cleaning mechanism a greater physical range of movement.
A multi-stage extending bionic robotic arm takes this structure further. It incorporates two or more connected joints powered by independent motors, allowing the mechanism to simulate multi-axis movement and achieve substantial outward extension.
“Dreame continues to explore how advanced mechanical structures can expand what autonomous cleaning systems are physically capable of doing,” said Ana Wang, CEO of Dreame Technology North America. “This milestone reflects our focus on translating bionic engineering principles into practical robot vacuum innovation and creating new possibilities for the future of floor care.”
Dreame Advancing the Autonomous Floor Cleaning
Dreame was the first brand to launch the Dual Flex Arm Technology back in 2024, where robot vacuums are able to extend up to 1.57in (4cm) to reach under cabinets. Two years later, the team takes this technology to the next level to conquer more challenging spaces in households. Robot vacuums traditionally depend on cleaning components positioned within or close to the main body of the machine. Extending robotic-arm structures introduce a different approach by allowing cleaning components to move physically beyond that body.
Multi-stage extension adds another level of movement through multiple connected joints and independently powered motors. This enables a wider outward extension than a single-stage structure and more closely reflects the multi-joint movement of a human arm.
The Euromonitor International research confirms Dreame’s position based on the commercial launch timing of qualifying products across the global robot vacuum market.
This recognition marks another step in Dreame’s continued development of intelligent floor-cleaning technologies. Dreame will continue investing in mechanical engineering and robotic design to make automated home cleaning more capable, flexible, and convenient.
